Tim Tait serves as Marine Drive Golf Club's Director of Golf/Head Professional and has earned the distinction amongst the Members and the local golfing community as one of the province's most respected Professionals. Previously, he was the Head Professional at The Elks Club in Calgary after apprenticing under legendary H.P. Jack McLaughlin. Since 1991, Tim has been an integral part of the growth of Marine Drive; during this time, the 1992 World Amateur, the development of a widely recognized teaching program, the Junior Development Program and the Marine Drive Amateur have been highlights. Also during this period, Tim has served on the Board of the BCPGA and its President and earned the honour of "BCPGA Head Professional of the Year" -a credit to both him and Marine Drive. In 2005 Tim won the award "Teacher of the Year" for his accomplishments over the years at Marine Drive.
At the Club he is responsible for all services related to the game of golf as well as all areas of the Links Operations. Tim and his staff also organize and manage an extensive calendar of Club Tournaments and Events.
Tim offers our Members a complete selection of golf hardware and fashionable apparel, attractively displayed in a well appointed Golf Shop facility.
A state-of-the-art Teaching Facility erected on the Club's newly renovated Practice Range allows Tim's staff to offer a complete package of lessons for golfers of all ages.
Marine Drive Golf Club also has an extremely progressive Junior Golf Program, which has often been the model for programs being established at other Club's. Tim's staff shepherd this program throughout the year and they offer instruction to some of the best Junior Golfers in Canada.
